Anthony and Maureen Parker
After about a week and a half as the "Lone Rangers" in Tabligbo, we were
happy to welcome the Crowsons back on Thursday evening. Jeremy,
Jonathan, Matthew, and Stephen enjoyed playing together all day Friday.
The boys have also enjoyed playing a lot with our Togolese neighbors
this past couple of weeks. Jeremy has discovered origami, and enjoys
making lots of different things out of paper. Cheap toys!
Anthony has spent a lot of time at the keyboard, typing in almost 200
pages of leadership training materials. Pray as we push to complete the
final 9 books in the Train & Multiply curriculum.
Maureen has been busy keeping the kids busy, cooking for our family and
guests, and sewing.
Jeff and Brenda Holland
We are all doing well in Springfield, MO. We are about to head to Texas
so Josiah can go to Camp Deer Run. Former teammates, the Bunners, will
meet us in Texas so their son, Aaron, can go to camp with Josiah.
We look forward to seeing their family. We will also be with the Park
Avenue congregation in Denison, Texas this weekend. They have supported
us for many years and it is always a joy to spend time with them while
visiting Jeff's parents. We just have a couple of weeks before heading
back to Togo on the 25th. Thank God for a good and healthy furlough.
Please pray that Rebecca's passport and visa make it back in time.
Also, please pray for all of our final preparations for the trip.
Murphy and Christine Crowson
We are safely back in Tabligbo and so glad to be home! We had a
wonderful time these past few months with family, friends, prayer
warriors and supporters. God refreshed our spirits and renewed our
energy and we're excited to get back into the swing of things here among
the Watchi.
Our journey home began last Saturday with a drive to Dallas. We met the
Koonces for lunch in Little Rock and then continued our journey to
Dallas. Before we arrived my mother called and said that my father
(Marvin Crowson) was in the hospital. He had a rash on his leg which
turned out to be an infection (the doctors called it cellulitus). He was
in the hospital until Tuesday morning.
Christine's parents met us in Dallas and took the boys and Christine out
to Chuck "E" Cheese for one last 'event' before our flight to Togo while
my mom and I visited with my dad in the hospital. The next morning
(Monday) the whole gang went to see him in the hospital. We praise God
that the infection is gone now and he's back home in Searcy.
Check-in at the airport, our plane change in Frankfurt and our drive
home from Accra, Ghana to Togo all went smooth. God blessed us with safe
travels for 10's of thousands of miles over the past few months. Praise
Him for this answered prayer!
We're busy unpacking and catching up with the Parkers and our Watchi
friends. Thank you for your prayers, He is listening and He is
answering!
Marty and Louise
Koonce
We Koonces are enjoying our time in the States. Marty was able to get
two of the churches informed this last week. We have made part of our
Arkansas tour which included a fourth birthday party for Trevor in
Bentonville with a lot of Marty's extended family. Trevor woke up on
Friday expecting it to be his birthday too (or two).
We are now on a vacation of sorts in Branson, Missouri with Marty's
family. The kids learned today about theme parks and they'll never be
the same after several roller coasters. Tomorrow is water park education
day. Louise has been enjoying being back in the states as well. It was a
great joy to watch the boys eyes pop from their heads at the sights,
sounds, and activities of Silver Dollar City. This is though, quite a
challenge for us as we are all experiencing sensory overload to one
degree or another. It is also a struggle for establishing any kind of
consistent routine for the boys. P
Please do pray for our travel on Sunday as we head for Alabama. We love
you all so much and thank you for your prayers.
