Anthony and Maureen Parker
We are back in Tabligbo! You probably can't imagine how
happy it makes us to be able to write those words. After a wonderful
week at the West Africa Missionary Retreat, we returned home Saturday.
We are so thankful for the ways God took care of us while we were away,
and particularly for the prayers and generosity of so many of you.
We were happy to see our friends and neighbors, and to worship with the
Tabilgbo church. Their attendance was up and there seemed to be a
positive atmosphere. One area of concern was that a brother from the
Batoe church has not been seen since Friday. He was supposed to meet his
wife in Tabligbo after traveling to Vogan. Normally a one or two day
delay in travel in Africa would not provoke particular concern, but
there have been many arrests and disappearances following last month's
elections. The political situation in Togo is still not completely
stable, and there are thousands of refugees outside the country. Please
continue to keep Togo in your prayers.
Jeff and Brenda Holland
We are in Searcy, Arkansas waiting for the baby to come.
The baby is due on the 21st. In the meantime, we are enjoying being with
Brenda's sister's family. We have a wonderful place to stay and are busy
visiting old friends.
Thanks for all of your prayers for Togo. Things seem to be more
peaceful. Our teammates should be returning to Togo next week. Pray for
political stability as well as church stability.

Marty and Louise
Koonce
First of all we want to say thank you. Thank you all for the prayers you
have prayed on our behalf. The second thing is that there is no place
like home, especially after being faced with the potential of losing it.
We, the Koonces, are thrilled to be back in Tabligbo. We had a good but
long worship at Adankonou Kope this morning and afternoon. They are all
doing well. We haven't heard from any of the other works since arriving
on Saturday, so Marty will spend this week doing his normal routine and
investigating how things have fared in the last three weeks. Louise and
the boys, now that we are back, will begin our legitimate preparations
for furlough. We will be leaving for Accra again in two weeks to depart
for the U.S. Please pray for us to relish our time here and prepare for
our departure simultaneously. God bless you all and we love you. |
